November 14--Shortly after the official launch, just over two weeks ago, of its 2Dto3DCAD.com ASP, ASPire3D has announced that it is the recipient of a CADENCE Editor's Choice Award and a Computer Graphics World Year 2000 Innnovation Award
The CADENCE Editor's Choice Award goes to companies and products that have done the most in the past several months to move the CAD industry forward. Previous winners of the award have included Solid Edge and Autodesk Inventor. Applauding the company, Arnie Williams, Editor-in-Chief of CADENCE, said, "Our congratulations to all the folks on the ASPire3D team for producing such a high-quality, innovative product. ASPire3D garnered a lot of well-deserved votes from the nominations." A congratulatory letter from Phil LoPiccolo, Editor-in-Chief of Computer Graphics World, said, "Congratulations. From hundreds of nominations, the editors chose only 21 winning products, which we believe demonstrate true innovation by expanding the boundaries of visual computing." Said Joe Greco, a leading MCAD analyst and frequent contributor to several well-known magazines, "I have seen the technology behind the site and in testing several complex 2D files, I was surprised how automated most of the conversions were. Successfully delivering this technology as an ASP may be the breakthrough many engineers have been waiting for in order for them to make the move to 3D." Eric Skjei: CADENCE Web |
