Arlington, Texas, September 1, 2000 – Recognizing the advantages of the Application Service Provider model, Imagecom, Inc. today announced its new Internet portal named ASPire3D.com. Imagecom plans to offer a variety of CAD applications on a pay-per-use basis on the portal. The first ASP application to be hosted on the portal is an internet-enabled version of Imagecom’s premier product – FlexiDesign™, called e-FlexiDesign. This software automatically converts 2D legacy CAD drawings to parametric feature-based 3D models. The ASP is ideal for large, medium and small companies that have large holdings of legacy CAD data that they would like to migrate to a 3D environment. By automatically recognizing features, e-FlexiDesign will allow them to easily redesign the product as well as provide a seamless integration to automated manufacturing.
